Transportation to NSG

Hi All,

Thanks for starting the forum.

I was wondering whether we can start working on common transportation
to our kids as I am worried to send my son by school bus.

I stay in KR Puram and I am planning to drop him everyday in a car from
June 2010 or thinking of shifting house.

Please share your views.

You can drop by Car.. How about pickup?
Are you planning to pick him up after school by car too.....

It might work for you but not for a lot of other people where both parents are working.

can understand the concern if both the parents are working.

thinking of dropping my son in the morning and my wife will pick up in the afternoon.
or vice versa

wanted to know the views of others as well so that our kids are safe enough to travel by bus.

also working out the option of shifting my house near NHG

I can understand your apprehensions but the school bus have a lady attendant with the kids to supervise them.
And they do take enough care that teh kids are safe till they are dropped back to their destinations....

That was one of my criterias while selecting a school and have rejected oen school where I felt the kids safety was not given enough importance. There were not enough attendants in the school nor any in the bus accompanying small nursery kids.

I am planning to avail Day care NHG will have a daycare faciality for the students
whose both parents are working.
I have already discussed this in the school, the admin lady did mention that it will be based on number
of parents show interest in DCr.
so please put interest through this forum.

Dear Parents,

My daughter has been using NHPS school bus and trust me it is clean and with a ladies attender apart from driver and helper.

Own transport is a better option but not feasible for all. Also private service could be an option but not reliable which I have tried.

The bus fee from Marathahalli to NHPS for the current year is 9k. If there are many parents who stays in Marathahalli localities, we can kick-of an discussion for a private service and see if it can workout cheaper.

i have put my son in 1st std at NHG. we stay in kadubesanahalli
(near NHG) itself. i have not opted for transportatio b'cos
it is arond 10k for less than 5 km (my house is less than 1 km
from NHG). Anybody from nearby areas looking out for private
transportation. I am also interested in private transportation
which might work out cheaper.

Today we (a group 12 parents) met principal and voiced our concerns regarding, transport, timings, cleanliness, and various others things....
